Kildeer Countryside Community Consolidated School District 96 issued the following announcement on Nov. 9.
The Illinois Music Education Association (ILMEA) traditionally hosts an annual concert festival featuring outstanding student musicians in band, orchestra, and chorus selected through audition for participation.
In this pandemic year, students submitted their auditions via video and those who qualified will have the opportunity to participate in a virtual masterclass on Nov. 14.
Kildeer Countryside School District 96 and music directors Cara Anderson, Chad Craw, Dan Nagle, and Eileen Wronkiewicz are very proud to recognize these middle school student musicians for their commitment and dedicated practice leading to their selection for this distinguished honor:
• Twin Groves Band 7th-grade musicians Oliver Coles (tuba), Sophia Jeon (flute), Joshua Stone (percussion) and 8th-grade musicians Isabelle DelRosario (flute), Prisha Kumari (flute), Joseph Wang (alto sax and jazz ensemble)
