College of Lake County issued the following announcement on Jan. 4
The James Lumber Center for the Performing Arts (JLC) at College of Lake County (CLC) is pleased to announce its Professional Touring Events for spring 2022, with tickets for all shows now on sale.
“For this special 25th anniversary season, we are presenting some audience favorites from the past in addition to bringing incredible new acts to the JLC stage,” said JLC Executive Director Gwethalyn Bronner. “Most of all, we are very excited to see our community here in our venue again. We have missed seeing you!”
The JLC opened in 1997 and since then, has proudly showcased a wide array of high-caliber professional touring events and concerts, along with CLC music, dance and theatre department performances and productions as well as local community-based programs and events.
The Professional Touring Events for spring 2022 are:
- “From Elvis to The Beatles featuring The Neverly Brothers,” Saturday, Jan. 22, at 8 p.m. Tickets $12-$35. An electrifying musical tribute from 1950s rock ‘n roll to the 1964 British Invasion.
- Ryan & Ryan, Wednesday, March 2, at 7:30 p.m. Tickets $12-$35. The dynamic and inventive father-son piano duo create a joyous concert experience.
- The Magic of Bill Blagg, Saturday, March 19, at 3 p.m. Tickets $12-$35. An action-packed spectacular full of mind-blowing, interactive magic and jaw-dropping illusions.
- Hiplet Ballerinas, Sunday, April 24, at 4 p.m. Tickets $12-$35. A spirited ensemble performing a variety of dance styles, including classical pointe and Hip-Hop.
- Eileen Ivers, Sunday, May 8, at 4 p.m. Tickets $15-$40. In this special Mother’s Day show, the Grammy Award-winner weaves Celtic and World music with emotion and imaginative stories.
Masks are required for everyone at CLC and the JLC. Performers onstage will be unmasked. Audience and venue support (backstage and front of house) will remain masked inside. Seating in the Mainstage will have reduced capacity to accommodate social distancing. CLC has enhanced cleaning procedures in the theatre, restroom and common touchpoints. Hand sanitizer stations are available throughout the JLC lobby.
