Engage in immersive learning with quest experiences at CLC

64

Interactive learning can help provide an enjoyable and informative experience. College of Lake County’s (CLC) summer Quest program provides adults in the community with an exciting opportunity to take a deep dive into interesting topics.

CLC is offering two Quest programs this summer for community members seeking fun, knowledge or adventure. Each three-day experience concludes with an interactive trip to Chicago, tailored to the specific program topic.

Two programs will take place this summer, one in June and one in August.

The June Quest experience focuses on gardening and wellness. Participants will learn about urban farming and CLC’s new urban farm project, get a behind-the-scenes view of CLC’s Horticulture Garden, create a container garden, experience the calming effect of watercolor sketches and explore sustainable landscaping.

The final day will feature an exclusive tour of the Chicago Botanic Gardens, including a Horticulture Therapy session and access to various exhibits. Learn more about this experience at https://bit.ly/CLCQuest1.

The August Quest experience explores the war in Ukraine and its impact. Through examination of historical and cultural contexts, participants will engage in powerful discussions that present thought-provoking perspectives.

The final day will feature a trip to Chicago’s Ukrainian Village to experience the rich culture through visits to the Ukrainian cultural arts museum and Delta Shop with handcrafted Ukrainian goods. Learn more about this experience at https://bit.ly/CLCQuest2.
