City of Highwood Committee of the Whole met Oct. 18.

Here are the minutes provided by the committee:

CALL TO ORDER by Mayor Pecaro at 6:05 P.M.

1. Roll Call

Present: Aldermen Levi, Slavin, Falberg, Peterson and Hospodarsky

Absent: Alderman Fiore

Also Present: City Manager Coren, Assistant City Manager Martin, City Attorney Jablecki and Administrative Assistant Litjens

2. Public Hearing

3. Review of Minutes to be Approved

3.1. City Council: October 04, 2022

Minutes will be approved as presented at the regular City Council meeting.

3.2. Committee of the Whole: October 04, 2022

Minutes will be approved at the regular City Council meeting.

4. Appointments

5. Review of Bill Warrant List

5.1. 10/18/2022 AP Warrant List

The Warrant List will be approved as presented at the regular City Council meeting. 6. Unfinished Business

7. New Business

7.1 Consideration of a Resolution Approving an ARC Application for a Monument Sign at Station 440, 440 Green Bay Road.

This will be approved at the regular City Council meeting.

7.2 Consideration of a Resolution of the Corporate Authorities to Determine the Amount of the Tax Levy for the 2022 Tax Year.

This is the third year of a zero percent increase.

This will be approved at the regular City Council meeting.

To also be noted: Highwood resident Rick Telander shared his concern on the smoke produced from fire pits and the impact on others.

Associate Director of the Highwood Library, Laura Ramirez, shared updates on the renovation and anticipates construction to begin mid-November.

8. Executive Session (If Necessary)

Moved by Alderman Peterson and seconded by Alderman Slavin to enter Executive Session under sections 2 C-5 and 2 C-6. All present voting aye, by roll call vote, motion carried at 6:41 P.M.

9. Any Action Necessary Coming Out of Executive Session

Moved by Alderman Levi and seconded by Alderman Peterson to reconvene the Committee of the Whole meeting. All present voting aye, by voice vote, motion carried at 7:29P.M.

10. Adjournment moved by Alderman Hospodarsky and seconded by Alderman Slavin to adjourn the meeting. All present voting aye, by voice vote, motion carried. Mayor Pecaro adjourned the meeting at 7:29P.M.
