City of Highwood Committee of the Whole met Nov. 15.

CALL TO ORDER by Mayor Pecaro at 6:11 P.M.

7.1 Consideration of a Resolution for an ARC Application Denying a Proposed Addition to the Wall Sign at Meet Mini Mart, Located at 104 Washington Avenue. The Council was unanimous that the proposed signage was not compliant with the City’s sign regulations, agreeing with the ARC recommendation to deny.
This will be approved as presented at the regular City Council meeting.
7.2 Consideration of a Resolution Approving an ARC Application for a Proposed Wall Sign at Celeste Beauty, Located at 762 Sheridan Road.
This will be approved as presented at the regular City Council meeting.
7.3 Consideration of an Ordinance for the Levy, Collection and Assessment of Taxes for the City of Highwood for the 2022 Tax Levy.
This will be approved at the regular City Council meeting.
7.4 Consideration of an Ordinance Abating the Tax Heretofore Levied for the Year 2022 to Pay the Principal and Interest on a General Obligation Bond not to Exceed $3,100,000 Series 2020, of the City of Highwood, Lake County, Illinois.
This will be approved at the regular City Council meeting.
7.5 Consideration of an Ordinance Abating the Tax Heretofore Levied for the Year 2022 to Pay the Principal and Interest on $9,255,000 General Obligation Bonds Series 2021, of the City of Highwood, Lake County, Illinois.
This will be approved at the regular City Council meeting.
7.6 Consideration of a First Amendment to the City Manager’s Employment Agreement. This will be approved at the regular City Council meeting.
Also to be noted, a 440 Green Bay Road resident presented his noise complaint against Teddy O’ Brian’s.
8. Executive Session (If Necessary)
Moved by Alderman Peterson and seconded by Alderman Hospodarsky to enter Executive Session under Section 2-C-11. All present voting aye, by voice vote, motion carried at 6:56 P.M. Moved by Alderman Hospodarsky and seconded by Alderman Peterson to adjourn Executive Session. All present voting aye, by voice vote, motion carried. Mayor Pecaro adjourned Executive Session at 7:27 P.M.
9. Any Action Necessary Coming Out of Executive Session
Moved by Alderman Falberg and seconded by Alderman Peterson to reconvene the Committee of the Whole meeting. All present voting aye, by voice vote, motion carried.
10. Adjournment
Moved by Alderman Peterson and seconded by Alderman Hospodarsky to adjourn the meeting. All present voting aye, by voice vote, motion carried. Mayor Pecaro adjourned the meeting at 7:27 P.M.
