The data shows 95 men and three women were released in Lake County. The median age of the parolees was 34. The youngest parolee was a 20-year-old man sentenced for homicide in 2021, and the oldest was a 72-year-old man sentenced for a crime involving alcohol in 2020.
The offender incarcerated the longest was Wilson Mui. He was convicted of a sex crime in 2006 when he was 43 years old. He is now 60.
Under state law, paroled offenders are still in legal custody of the IDOC, meaning they can be taken back to a correctional center at any time if the state has probable cause or a warrant.
