“While going for an evening drive in my convertible, I witnessed a man and a woman attacking this homeless person -- dragging his tent (with the homeless man in it) into the street -- throwing his belongings into the street, threatening him.”
“Watched while members of our community attacked this man and called me a p*ssy, as I called the LFPD. The homeless man would not press charges. You know who you are out there. I have seen in action now that the vitriol spewed on social media can spill over into an actual physical attack on a human being who is on hard times. And I am no bleeding heart liberal -- I am Vice President of the Lake County Republican Federation -- and I am sick of the hate and the vitriol.”
“Enough is enough. We are all in this together -- instead of hurting a man whose story you may not even know, figure out a way to help. Lake Forest and Lake Bluff -- you could do so much better.”
Meyer, a Chicago Native, studied at the University of Chicago Booth School of Business from 2015 to 2018 and is currently residing in Lake Bluff.
