City of North Chicago Public Safety Committee met Dec. 18.
Here are the minutes provided by the committee:
Alderman Jackson called the meeting to order.
ROLL CALL:
Present: Jackson, Allen, Smith, Murphy
Absent: Coleman, Evans, January
I. DISCUSSION OF POLICE DEPARTMENT MONTHLY REPORT:
There was no discussion.
II. DISCUSSION OF FIRE DEPARTMENT MONTHLY REPORT:
There was no discussion.
III. DISCUSSION OF FLOCK LICENSE PLATE READER - $2,500 PER CAMERA FOR FIVE YEARS:
Police Chief Lazaro Perez explained the Flock License Plate Reader. The initial (2) years was paid for by a grant and the remaining was an incentive of 6 cameras; $2,500 per (5) years. The prices were locked for the 5 years.
Police Chief Perez announced that Rosalind Franklin would be administering flu shots at the substation.
Also, there was carpet and furniture donated at the location by Abbvie.
This will be placed on the next Council Agenda, January 2, 2024.
Alderman Allen moved, seconded by Alderman Smith that the Public Safety Committee Meeting stand adjourned.
