The Waukegan Public Library will inaugurate its Telehealth Booth in partnership with Abbott and the Abbott Fund. The event is scheduled for 2-3 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 18.
According to a Waukegan Public Library news release, the new, quiet, private, ADA-accessible booth will connect library patrons to virtual healthcare appointments with their preferred healthcare provider.
The booth will be equipped with a Wi-Fi-enabled laptop, webcam, and equipment such as a scale, blood pressure monitor, thermometer, and pulse monitor. The public is invited to the ribbon-cutting ceremony.
The Waukegan Public Library is located at 128 N. County St., Waukegan.
