A Women in Business Lunch is scheduled for December 10, organized by the Lake Village Lindenhurst Round Lake Area Chamber of Commerce. The event will take place at The Links Golf & Sports Bar in Lindenhurst, Illinois. While the luncheon is free, attendees are encouraged to bring an unwrapped toy for the Toys for Tots toy drive.

According to a news release from the Lake Villa Lindenhurst Round Lake Area Chamber of Commerce, the luncheon aims to empower women by providing opportunities to network, gain valuable insights, and enhance their business success collectively. The lunch will be held from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at The Links Golf & Sports Bar located at 2116 E Grand Ave., Lindenhurst, IL 60046. The chamber's news release also highlights that the event will serve as a festive holiday celebration featuring networking camaraderie and mini golf. It will also mark a special farewell to Connie Barszcz, who is retiring after 43 years with State Bank of the Lakes.

Lunch will be provided by Antioch Pizza Shop, as said in the news release. The restaurant is situated at 994 Il Route 59 in Antioch and was founded by Art and Karen Wicklein, high school sweethearts and Antioch natives. The Links Golf & Sports Bar offers an immersive golfing experience year-round with pizza, drinks, sports watching, and gaming stations.

The LLR Chamber of Commerce website states that it provides a platform for members to gain exposure to numerous businesspeople in the area.
