State Representative Tom Weber has officially taken office as the new 104th Illinois General Assembly begins its session. In a ceremony attended by family and friends, Rep. Weber was sworn in, marking the start of his term representing the 64th House District.
Rep. Weber emphasized the significance of each new General Assembly session as an opportunity for renewal and problem-solving. "The start of each new General Assembly is an opportunity for a fresh start, and a fresh look at ways to solve problems. Many of our challenges are serious, but they’re certainly not insurmountable," he stated.
The 64th House District includes parts of Lake and McHenry Counties along the Wisconsin border. Prior to his political career, Rep. Weber worked on his family's farm and as a carpenter, where he continues to reside with his wife Becki in their original farmhouse.
Rep. Weber outlined key priorities for this spring session, focusing on reducing tax burdens and enhancing community safety to make Illinois an appealing place for future generations: "This spring we need to work together to reduce our families’ tax burden and to help keep our communities safe to ensure Illinois remains a place where our children and our grandchildren will want to stay and raise their own families."
Residents within his district are encouraged by Rep. Weber to reach out with inquiries or concerns via phone at 847-629-5439 or through his website at repweber.com.
