Construction season is approaching, and the Village of Buffalo Grove aims to mitigate frustrations by keeping residents informed about upcoming projects. The village offers project-specific weekly construction update e-newsletters to provide insights into each project's status and anticipated impacts on services or home access.

The e-newsletters will commence as work for each project begins. Residents can sign up for updates on projects that interest them.

- **Bernard Drive West Project**: The western portion of Bernard Drive (from Lincoln Terrace to Arlington Heights Road) will undergo utility and street improvements similar to those completed on the eastern section last year. This work is expected to start in late February or early March, with Nicor already on site performing preliminary tasks.

- **Mill Creek Neighborhood Project**: Utility and street improvements are slated for the Mill Creek neighborhood, primarily affecting Greenridge Road and Crofton Lane. This project is expected to begin mid-February.

- **Northwood Neighborhood Project**: Stormwater improvements and road reconstruction are planned for the Northwood neighborhood, with work commencing in the coming months.

- **Road Resurfacing Project**: Details are being finalized for a collection of roads on the north side of town that will undergo resurfacing. This project is expected to start in late spring or early summer. Once details are finalized, a webpage and signup form will be available.

In addition to the e-newsletter, properties directly impacted by these projects will receive a letter in the mail within weeks, providing detailed information about each project and addressing frequently asked questions. Other agency road work around Buffalo Grove, such as on Arlington Heights Road, will also continue.

Residents can view a map of all planned projects for this year on the village's website.
