Former Speaker Mike Madigan found guilty of multiple charges

The verdict is in for former Speaker Mike Madigan: guilty of bribery conspiracy, bribery, and wire fraud in federal court.

"This verdict should send a very clear message to the leaders in our state that something has to change immediately. The pattern of corruption Illinois has been plagued with for so long can no longer be tolerated. The people of Illinois deserve so much better," said Rep. Tom Weber.
