Bill Hamill named Illinois Softball Coach of the Year

Lakes Community High School announced that its head softball coach, Bill Hamill, has been named the 2024 Illinois Softball Coaches Association 3A Sectional Coach of the Year.

Coach Hamill has led Lakes' softball team since 2008, achieving a total of 289 victories. His teams have demonstrated consistent performance, with Lakes winning the regional and finishing as sectional runner-up in two of the last three seasons.

"We are proud of the program Bill has built over the last 17 seasons," said a representative from Lakes Community High School. "Congratulations, Coach Hamill!"
