Collinsville CUSD 10 has invited its fourth-grade students to participate in the upcoming Future Chefs Challenge, sponsored by Sodexo. Aspiring young chefs can showcase their culinary skills by submitting a recipe entry form for the competition, which will take place at Collinsville High School on May 7, 2025.

This year’s theme is “Complete the plate with your favorite main dish. ” Participants are encouraged to submit creative ideas, twists on classic dishes, trending recipes, or entirely new creations. The competition requires students to focus solely on creating a main dish, as sides will be provided.

Entries can be submitted via a QR code or through a specified link no later than 5 p.m. on Thursday, April 10, 2025. Students must include their name, school, teacher’s name, and recipe in their submission.

A panel of administrators will evaluate all submissions and select five finalists for the live competition at CHS. These finalists will be announced on April 17.

Sodexo has prepared prizes for both the winning entry and the other four finalists. The district expresses enthusiasm about the potential creations from its young students: “We know our fourth graders will create some amazing dishes. ”
