Walker School is set to host its 5th Annual Recycling Extravaganza on Saturday, May 10, from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. in the school parking lot.
The event, sponsored by the Eco Club, PTO, and SCARCE.org, offers attendees an opportunity to engage in responsible recycling.
"It''s a great chance to recycle responsibly," organizers said.
A range of items will be accepted for recycling, including bicycles, books, clothing, flags, keys, LP records, musical instruments, plastic garden pots, yarn, and string lights.
Additionally, there will be provisions for the safe disposal of medications and the Eco Club''s battery recycling bucket will be available.
However, the event will not accept hazardous waste such as paint or other household chemicals.
