More than 200 students, alumni, and employer partners gathered on Thursday, April 3, at the Bank of America building in downtown Chicago for the 2025 In The Loop Mixer. This annual event brings the Forester community together for networking, mentorship, and career-building conversations.

Spotlighting the College’s residential In The Loop program and Career Pathway communities, the event celebrates the internship and career achievements of students and young alumni while recognizing the support of Forester alumni and employer partners who help make those successes possible.

The evening gave students a chance to sharpen their networking skills and make meaningful connections with alumni and professionals across industries. This year’s guest speaker, Martino Moore ’99, encouraged students to embrace the breadth of a liberal arts education and the value of “human skills”—the ability to engage, connect, and speak beyond your major.

Whether planned or unexpected, the connections formed at the In The Loop Mixer continue to open doors to numerous career opportunities in Chicago and within the Forester Network for internships, job opportunities, and long-term professional growth.

Lake Forest College ranks #1 in the nation for Social Mobility (U.S. News & World Report) and #18 for Best Career Services (The Princeton Review). The College recently reported that 97 percent of Class of 2024 graduates were employed or enrolled in continuing education within six months of graduation.
