Collinsville High School Latin Teacher James Stark has received the 2024-2025 Kraft Award for Excellence in Secondary School Teaching from the Classical Association of the Middle West and South (CAMWS).

CAMWS is an organization of Classics teachers and professors serving most of the U.S. and Canada.

Named for CAMWS Benefactor Eunice E. Kraft of Western Michigan University, this award recognizes outstanding teachers of Latin in public or private schools. Only one secondary school award is given each year.

This is the second national award Mr. Stark has received this school year. Earlier, he was honored with the 2024 Excellence in Teaching Award (K-12) from the Society for Classical Studies.

Congratulations Magister* Stark!

*FYI: Magister is Latin for teacher or master
