Northbrook District 28 elementary schools Greenbriar, Meadowbrook, and Westmoor have extended an invitation to graduating seniors for a special visit at 2 p.m. on Friday, May 30. The event aims to inspire young students, provide an opportunity for seniors to visit teachers, and celebrate their accomplishments with classmates.
Seniors are encouraged to participate by meeting at their respective elementary schools dressed in cap and gown. Additionally, they can wear a t-shirt under the gown representing their next adventure.
For Greenbriar alumni, there will be a gathering at the Northbrook Public Library at 1 p.m. for a viewing of their fifth-grade video before proceeding to Greenbriar. Parents are welcome to attend this portion at the library.
The "Grad Walks" for Meadowbrook, Greenbriar, and Westmoor will commence at 2 p.m., with only graduating seniors permitted inside the schools; parents can gather in the parking lot for photos.
In addition, Northbrook Junior High welcomes all alumni to visit with teachers and students from 2:30-3 p.m.
