The end of the school year is approaching, and Seniors at WTHS are preparing to celebrate their accomplishments. In a recent newsletter, staff emphasized support available for students finalizing their classes and decisions.

JUNIORS:

Juniors will take the ACT test on Thursday, April 10. Students are reminded to bring necessary items such as a charged Chromebook, snack, water bottle, calculator, #2 pencils, and photo ID. The test is fully digital this year.

"Students are automatically registered for the WTHS state test," said the newsletter. It was also noted that the ACT will transition from its "Classic" version to a new "Core" version in September 2025.

Additionally, many colleges continue to adopt test-optional admissions policies for Fall 2025. Students can check updated lists at fairtest.org.

The College Knowledge Summer Workshop is open for registration until April 25. This $50 workshop covers topics like college applications, financial aid, scholarships, and more.

SENIORS:

Seniors are encouraged to finish strong as they near graduation. Key tasks include completing the Graduation Checklist and Senior Exit Activity in SchooLinks by May 15.

"If you have not already, please file your FAFSA," urged the newsletter. This requirement must be met by May 15 to receive a diploma.

Senior Celebration Day is scheduled for May 1 at Almond Campus. Students should send their information to @bluedevilseniors on Instagram or email Mrs. McGahan (cmcgahan@wths.net).

FOR BOTH JUNIORS AND SENIORS:

College of Lake County's Spring Open House will take place on Saturday, April 12 from 9 am-1 pm.

WTHS will also host final college visits at Almond Campus College and Career Center. Students can attend up to three visits per semester.

For job opportunities, students can refer to the Opportunities Board in SchooLinks or previous Job Board listings.

Ms. Hartley and Mrs. McGahan remain available for any questions or assistance needed during this transitional period.
