The Public Works Department's Water Division is currently conducting Water Service Line Material Inspections to determine if service lines are made of copper, lead, or galvanized material. Residents requiring an inspection will have received a letter requesting them to set up an appointment. This initiative is in response to the Illinois Environmental Protection Agency's (IEPA) mandate under the State of Illinois Lead Replacement Bill, which requires a complete inventory of all water service line materials.
Water Division Staff conducting these inspections include Mark (Water Operator), Devin (Seasonal Staff), AJ (Maintenance Service Technician), Bart (Foreman), James (Water Operator), and Pete (Water Operator).
