Beach Park District 3 is celebrating a significant achievement as Ms. Stephanie Kallis Meek, principal of Beach Park Middle School, has been named Administrator of the Year for Lake County. The nomination was made by Ms. Jeanne Aken, the district librarian.

In a communication to the community dated May 8, 2025, Dr. Denise Wilcox, Superintendent of Beach Park District 3, said: "It is my proud honor to announce that Ms. Stephanie Kallis Meek... was named Administrator of the Year for Lake County!"

Dr. Wilcox expressed immense pride in this accomplishment and highlighted the transformative work done by Ms. Kallis Meek on the climate, culture, academics, and behavior at the middle school. She remarked: "We are incredibly proud of this huge accomplishment and the work Ms. Kallis Meek has done to change the climate, culture, academics, and behavior of our middle school into a more positive space. "

The superintendent also noted that this award is a step towards achieving Blue Ribbon Schools of Excellence status for every school within the district. She added: "Our District is on our way to Blue Ribbon Schools of Excellence status at every school within our District. Ms. Kallis Meek’s award is evidence of the changes we are making collectively to ensure our students have everything they need to learn, lead, and succeed. "
