Lake County Board recognizes nominees for educator awards

At the May 20 meeting, the Board acknowledged eight educators nominated for the 2025 Lake County Educator of the Year Awards. The nominees were recognized in various categories.

Juan Ramirez Collazo from Countryside Elementary was nominated in the Service Personnel category. Mark Domanico, also from Countryside Elementary, was nominated as an Elementary/Early Childhood Teacher. Kristen Hanson from Station Campus received a nomination as an Early Career Educator.

Ken Hoving, representing Barrington Transition Program, was recognized in the Diverse Learner Teacher category. Paul Kirk of Roslyn Road Elementary was nominated as a School Administrator. Allen Noland from BHS was acknowledged as a High School Teacher.

Anne Schmitt of Prairie Campus received a nomination as a Middle School Teacher. Lastly, Jennifer Schramm from Station Campus was recognized in the Student Support Personnel category.
