Nearly 100 seniors at Barrington High School (BHS) are set to receive a College and Career Pathway Endorsement on their diplomas. This was announced by Dr. Winkelman during the Superintendent's Report at the May 20 meeting. The endorsement is part of the Postsecondary and Workforce Readiness Act, which allows students to earn it by completing an individualized learning plan, a career-focused instructional sequence, and professional learning opportunities.

Barrington 220 offers endorsements in all seven of the state's areas: Agriculture, Food & Natural Resources; Arts & Communication; Finance & Business Services; Health Sciences & Technology; Information Technology; Human & Public Services; and Manufacturing, Engineering, Technology & Trades. Notably, BHS was the first high school in Illinois to offer the Agriculture, Food, & Natural Resources endorsement.
