Lake Forest Community High School District 115 has announced that senior cheerleader Ally Lucania will continue her cheerleading career at Florida Atlantic University (FAU).

On Friday, June 6, Lake Forest High School recognized Lucania as she officially signed to join the FAU cheer team. The signing ceremony took place in the Metcalfe Foyer, located just outside the school’s main competition gym, where Lucania has cheered throughout her high school years.

Florida Atlantic University, founded in 1961 and opened in 1964 as Florida's fifth public university, enrolls over 30,000 students across six campuses along the southeast coast. Recognized as a top public university by U.S. News & World Report, FAU emphasizes innovation, diversity, and student success. It offers more than 170 degree programs and maintains a student-faculty ratio of 24:1. The university leads Florida in campus ethnic diversity and supports high achievement among minority and first-generation students. With $75 million in research awards and over $260 million in financial aid distributed annually, FAU is noted for its excellence in fields such as business, engineering, nursing, and computer science.

Lake Forest High School was established in 1935 as a public secondary school serving grades 9–12 in Lake Forest, Illinois. Approximately 95% of its students pursue higher education, aided by personalized instruction and a collaborative school environment. The institution emphasizes mutual respect, high expectations, and a sense of belonging. It serves the communities of Lake Forest, Lake Bluff, and Knollwood under the motto "Pursuits become habits."

Lake Forest Community High School District 115 serves about 1,500 students from Lake Forest, Lake Bluff, and Knollwood in grades 9–12. The district provides a range of academic programs including advanced placement courses and specialized electives. Students have access to athletics, performing arts, various clubs, career pathways, community service opportunities through feeder schools like Deer Path Middle School and Lake Bluff Middle School.
