Lake Forest Community High School District 115 has announced that restoration work on the Lake Forest High School (LFHS) East front entrance will commence after graduation on June 7.

The project involves replacing the front steps, handrails, and sidewalk, along with a full excavation of the area to facilitate the restoration of historic lamp posts and temporary removal of landscaping. The ivy and shrubs will be replanted post-construction, and the restored lamp posts are anticipated to return in the fall. According to LFHS, work is scheduled to continue through early October.

Lake Forest High School's Class of 2025 graduation occurred on June 7, 2025, at 2:30 p.m. on the school’s front lawn.
