The Waukegan Park District is preparing for the 2025 American Independence Parade, scheduled for Sunday, June 29. The parade will begin at 1 p.m., traveling north on Sheridan Road from Franklin Street to Jack Benny Drive. Their mission focuses on educating citizens to become responsible and productive members of society through recreational activities in a supportive environment. They are celebrating their twenty-fifth anniversary on July 1, 2025.
The event is expected to draw thousands of spectators along Sheridan Road. Businesses and organizations interested in participating can submit a completed application online by June 1, 2025.
