The Woodland Community Consolidated School District 50 has announced a Medication and Health Record Drop Off event for the upcoming school year. The event is scheduled to take place at Woodland Middle School on August 11, 2025, from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. and again from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m.

During this time, district registered nurses and health assistants will be available to accept medications, discuss students' health needs, and collect physicals and vaccination forms. "If you are unable to attend on this day or require additional assistance please call the Summer School Health Office at 847-596-5910 to schedule a time to drop off your student's medication and forms," the district advised.

Parents are reminded to bring non-expired labeled medications along with updated forms required for each school year. These include an Asthma Action Plan with a quick-acting inhaler and spacer/chamber, a Food Allergy Action Plan with Epinephrine Auto Injector and Benadryl as indicated, and Medication Authorization Forms for any other medications.

For children entering Kindergarten or sixth grade, new students in the district, or those participating in school sports, a current physical, vaccination record, dental exam (and vision exam for Kindergarten) is necessary. "All physicals must be dated within one year of the first day of school," according to the announcement.

Students in seventh and eighth grades who wish to participate in school sports must submit a current Sports Physical Form at least one week prior to tryouts.

For further inquiries regarding medical requirements for the upcoming school year, parents are encouraged to contact their student's school's Health Office.
