Dr. Winkelman, in his Superintendent's Report, has announced several key dates as the district prepares for the back-to-school season. On Wednesday, August 6th, a district news and welcome back email will be sent out. The following day, Thursday, August 7th, elementary class assignments along with a welcome message from principals will be distributed. Middle school and high school students can expect their class assignments and welcome messages from principals on Friday, August 8th.

Additionally, an emergency mass notification test is scheduled for Wednesday, August 13th at 10 a.m. "As far as the emergency test goes on August 13th," Dr. Winkelman said, "expect an email, text, and robocall around 10 a.m. that day." He emphasized the importance of ensuring communication channels are effective before the school year begins. Further instructions on updating contact information will be provided closer to the date.
