Residents and families in Lake Zurich are being advised to plan for delays as construction continues on Main Street in downtown Lake Zurich. The roadwork is part of the Village of Lake Zurich’s Main Street upgrade project and comes as the new school year approaches.
The construction currently affects East Main Street, between Old Rand Road and Church Street, and West Main Street, between Route 22 and Old Rand Road. These sections remain closed to all but local traffic.
According to the Village, East Main Street will stay open with one lane available, with flaggers directing vehicles into the new school year. Intermittent closures are expected to continue through late November as work progresses.
