The Village of Wauconda has received a grant from Lake County's Native Tree Initiative Program to support parkway tree planting in areas affected by the Emerald Ash Borer. The initiative aims to help communities recover from the damage caused by this invasive pest.
In addition, Lake County will hold an Urban and Community Forestry Listening Session on August 21, 2025. According to information provided by the village, "Lake County will be hosting an event for the Urban and Community Forestry Listening Session on 8/21/2025.
