The United Township High School District 30 released its daily announcements for August 26, 2025, outlining several events and opportunities for students. The lunch menu includes walking tacos, chicken chili tortillas, taco fiesta beans, baby whole carrots, mixed green salad, applesauce, and a mixed berry fruit cup.

Students interested in attending a musical event at the Adler Theatre in Davenport on November 8 can obtain free tickets by contacting Mr. Davis, the College & Career Advisor. Volunteer opportunities are available with the Quad Cities Rowing Club for the "Sprint the Miss Regatta" on September 19 or 20. Students can see Mr. Davis for more information about volunteering roles.

For seniors seeking guidance on financial aid applications, an ISAC representative will be at United Township High School from 9:00 to 11:30 a.m. on Wednesday, August 27 to discuss FAFSA matters. Seniors are asked to sign up in the Guidance Office to meet with Ms. DeTombe or speak with their counselor or Mr. Davis if they have questions.

In sports news, there will be a softball meeting after school at 3:15 p.m. on August 26 for those not involved in fall sports; questions can be directed to Coach Alonzo or Coach Tapia. A pre-season meeting for girls’ basketball is scheduled for Thursday, August 28 at 3:15 p.m. in Gym A; Coach Pavelonis is available for additional information.

Club activities this week include the first Interact Club meeting on Wednesday morning at 7:30 a.m. in Room 119 C and the LGBT+ Club’s first meeting after school Tuesday in Miss Williams' room (125E). Interested students can also join via QR codes posted near water fountains or contact Miss Williams directly.

The H.O.P.E. Club meets Wednesday afternoon from 3:15-5:00 p.m. in room 189V; Ms. CJ is available in the Counseling Office for questions.

United Township High School District 30 serves Rock Island and Henry counties and represents United Township High School within its jurisdiction (source). The district employs a total of 96 teachers with an average salary of $65,666 before pension contributions; approximately half are women and half are men, and none have more than ten absences per year (source). The student population is diverse—51.3 percent White, 16 percent Black, 25.5 percent Hispanic, and nearly three percent Asian (source).
