The Buffalo Grove Fire and Police Departments will hold their annual Public Safety Open House on Saturday, September 20. The event is scheduled to take place from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Fire Station 26, located at 1051 Highland Grove Drive.
Residents are invited to learn about the roles and responsibilities of local first responders. Attendees will have the opportunity to see fire and police vehicles, watch live firefighting demonstrations, and participate in activities such as the junior firefighter challenge.
No registration is required for this event. Visitors can arrive any time during the scheduled hours.
Food will be available for purchase from Wiener Take All starting at 11:15 a.m. Demonstrations planned include a vehicle extrication demo at 11 a.m., a tactical rescue demonstration at 11:30 a.m., and a live fire demonstration at noon.
