The Grant Community High School District 124 has announced its September Student of the Month, Dianey Granados. A senior at Grant Community High School, Granados is recognized for her academic and extracurricular achievements. She is the daughter of Enrique and Diana Granados from Round Lake.

Granados's academic record includes induction into the National Honor Society as a sophomore, where she now serves as President. She has consistently made the Honor Roll each semester and is an AP Scholar with Distinction, maintaining a GPA of 4.972. Her involvement extends beyond academics; she is the secretary and a member of the Illinois Council on Women and Girls and captains the Speech Team. Notably, she competed at state level in Speech for Performance in the Round Group and Prose Reading during her sophomore and junior years.

Her commitment to community service is evident through her participation in various events organized by the National Honor Society, amassing 76 service hours throughout high school. In her leisure time, Granados enjoys reading, learning new things, baking, and spending time with family and friends.

Looking ahead, Granados plans to attend college at either UIC, UIUC, or Marquette University to major in Biology on a pre-med track with aspirations of becoming a pediatrician.
