The guidance department invited juniors and seniors—and sophomores enrolled in college prep or accelerated classes—to attend the first-ever UTHS College Fair on October 23 in Gym B from 10:45 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Students wishing to participate were asked to speak with their teacher, school counselor, or Mr. Davis.
In club news, Student Council will not meet this week but plans to reconvene after the break. The P7 club is holding its second meeting on October 3 at 7:15 a.m. in Room 251N with donuts and a themed lesson for Homecoming morning.
Homecoming week continued with Thursday’s dress theme of “decades.” Students were reminded that ticket prices for the dance would increase at the door and could purchase pom poms for $1 during lunch periods at the Student Store. A movie night featuring "The Great Gatsby" was scheduled for Thursday evening on the softball fields from 7-8:30 p.m., with popcorn and lemonade available for sale.
Friday’s dress theme will be class shirts by grade level color—gray for freshmen, black for sophomores, orange for juniors, and white for seniors—with a football game against Quincy planned as part of homecoming festivities.
