Lake Villa announces annual holiday parade and tree lighting for November 29

The Annual Holiday Parade and Tree Lighting in Lake Villa is scheduled for Saturday, November 29, 2025, at 5 p.m. The parade will start at Palombi Middle School and proceed down Cedar Avenue, ending at Railroad Avenue. After the parade, Santa Claus will light the holiday tree to mark the beginning of the season.

This year, organizers have announced a new location for the tree lighting. The event will take place in Lehmann Park near the bathrooms. Attendees are invited to take photos with Santa and his sleigh under the pavilion in Lehmann Park.

Those interested in participating in the parade are asked to submit their applications to Corey Westman by email at cwestman@lake-villa.org. Applications must be received by November 14, 2025.

The parade leaves from Palombi Middle School and will come down Cedar Avenue ending at Railroad Avenue. After the parade ends, Santa will light the tree to kick off the Holiday Season. NEW TREE LOCATION IS DOWN IN LEHMANN PARK BY THE BATHROOMS. Please join us for your picture with Santa and his sleigh under the pavilion in Lehmann Park. Parade applications are due no later than November 14, 2025," according to event organizers.
