Webster Elementary earns Exemplary status on Illinois Report Card

Webster Elementary has been recognized with an Exemplary designation on the 2025 Illinois Report Card. Staff members marked the occasion with a celebration at the school.

Principal Alison Schumacher, who is currently on extended leave, participated in the event remotely via Google Meets. During her remarks, she expressed appreciation for the staff's dedication. "She thanked everyone for their many efforts to increase student performance."

For the 2024-25 academic year, Webster Elementary ranked in the top 10 percent of schools across Illinois and reported no underperforming student groups. The school's progress in English language arts and math on the Illinois Assessment of Readiness was notably higher than state averages.

Webster Elementary is part of Collinsville Community Unit School District 10, which serves Madison and St. Clair counties and includes several other schools such as Caseyville Elementary School, Collinsville High School, Collinsville Middle School, Dorris Intermediate School, Jefferson Elementary School, John A. Renfro Elementary School, Kreitner Elementary School, Maryville Elementary School, Summit Elementary School, and Twin Echo Elementary School (https://www.illinoisreportcard.com/).

The district employs 418 teachers who earn an average salary of $60,392 before pension contributions; women make up 81 percent of the teaching staff while men account for 19 percent. According to recent data from the Illinois State Board of Education, none of these teachers had more than ten absences during a school year (https://www.illinoisreportcard.com/).

Demographically, Collinsville Community Unit School District 10 comprises approximately 56 percent White students, 14.1 percent Black students, 24.1 percent Hispanic students, and 0.5 percent Asian students (https://www.illinoisreportcard.com/).
