The International Franchise Association (IFA) recently named Jim Cook, owner of the Mundelein Grease Monkey and a lifelong Mundelein resident, Franchisee of the Year.
Franchise owner-operators representing 53 franchise systems were recognized during the IFA’s Franchise Action Network Annual Meeting recently in Washington, D.C., for their outstanding performance and contributions made to enhance the growth and development of franchising.
Each award winner was selected by its franchise company, and there are approximately 300 Grease Monkey franchises across the U.S. Among those, only one franchisee is awarded this distinction.
“The strength of the U.S. economy significantly relies on the hard work of franchisees,” Robert Cresanti, IFA executive vice president of government relations and public policy. “IFA is proud to recognize the outstanding efforts of Jim Cook with the Franchisee of the Year Award and thank him for his work in the promotion of franchising, as well as his daily contributions that not only showcase how local business owners propel the economy, but also foster community ties throughout the U.S.”
