The Highland Park City Council will hold its regular meeting on Monday.

The council is expected to approve the city's 2016 budget, among a long list of other business.

The council will authorize a number of service contracts for 2016: Advanced Tree Care, Inc. of Lincolnshire will carry the 2016 contract for routine tree trimming throughout the city, Hollander & Company, Inc. and Malcor Roofing of Illinois, Inc. will receive roofing services contracts, Lenny Hoffman Excavating, Inc. will continue his duties as the city's materials hauler, Guy Scopelliti Company, Inc. of Libertyville will continue flower and tree planting throughout the city and Crystal Management and Maintenance Service Corp. will provide janitorial services.

The council will also have the opportunity to officially approve a shared services agreement with the city of Highwood for fire and emergency services. Highwood officials recently approved the agreement and their full participation is pending a referendum vote in March.

The Community Development Committee will consider allowing a special use permit for a medical cannabis dispensary on Old Skokie Road and Daniel LaCosse will be appointed to a one-year term on the Natural Resources Commission.

The meeting is scheduled for 7:30 p.m.
