The Highwood City Council held its regular meeting Dec. 1 at City Hall.
The council approved the city's 2015 tax levy, which included companion ordinances for making payments on three separate general obligation bonds.
The city also approved its waste collection agreement with Groot Industries Inc. and Lakeshore Recycling Systems LLC through 2017.
The agreement needs to be reviewed by the City Attorney before it can become official.
Alderman Mike Fiore and Alderman M. Brad Slavin were absent.
