The Highwood City Council held its regular meeting Nov. 3 at City Hall.
The council approved resolutions to move forward with calculating a 2015 tax levy that will not exceed 4 percent.
The council also approved an impervious surface and setback variance for 786 DeRoo Loop and welcomed new businesses Scotty's Restaurant and Ballaro to Highwood.
The meeting was adjourned at 8 p.m.
