Pilot program, awards top agenda for Lake County Housing and Community Development Commission

Libertyville central permit facility

To address grant and employment issues, Lake County’s Housing and Community Development Commission will meet 3:30 p.m. Wednesday in the Central Permit Facility’s second floor conference room.

Starting with roll call and the approval of minutes from the commission’s Jan. 13 meeting, the commission will hear the chair’s remarks, followed by public comments for any items not listed on the agenda and old business.

In new business, results from the Jan. 27 “Point-in-Time” homeless count will be revealed, followed by a presentation on the 2016 Housing & Community Development Action Plan and an accompanying public hearing session regarding the Lake County Consortium.

A joint resolution approving the 2016 Housing & Community Development Annual Action Plan is on the agenda for discussion as well as a joint resolution for the 2016 Lake County Affordable Housing Program (LCAHP) grant awards.

Additional resolutions concern an MOU between Lake County and the village of Lake Villa as well as Lake County and the Little City Foundation for utilizing 2016 Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funds for revitalization and ensuring they are compliant with HUD practices.

After staff reports, the meeting will adjourn.
