To handle four varied zoning ordinance amendment proposals, ranging from firearms to personal care, Gurnee’s Planning and Zoning Board will meet 7:30 p.m. Wednesday at Gurnee Village Hall.
Following initial business, a public hearing will determine the outcome of four diverse requests. The first proposes language to define and regulate the uses of gun and/or firearm sales and shooting ranges within the village.
Second, in order to correct regulations transferred erroneously from a previous sign ordinance, the board will hear a proposal to simplify language regarding regulations affecting the public posting of campaign signs.
Third, local massage service establishments will be impacted by the board’s decision on language to clarify the definition of said establishments.
And fourth, signage related to residential care facilities will be similarly addressed as the board streamlines language for those sites.
