Highlighted by a Boy Scout and Cub Scout flag presentation event, Round Lake’s board meeting at 7 p.m. Wednesday also covered forestry, landscaping, waterworks, and office equipment at its session at Village Hall.

Youngsters from local Cub Scout Pack No. 99 and Boy Scout Troop No. 275 proudly participated in the presentation of the American flag during the board’s public comment portion of the meeting before trustees went on to examine routine agenda material.

Aside from authorizing accounts payable and payroll, board members addressed the adoption of several pending resolutions, ranging from leasing copy machines, facilitating motor vehicle traffic and preventing theft to vendor quotes for tree and landscape maintenance along public thoroughfares.

The village administrative, financial, police and public works divisions also presented reports, followed by updates from Community Development, Building and Zoning and Special Events departments.

Mayor Richard Hill presented an opportunity for the village board to urge Illinois state leaders to pass a final budget along with his regular comments. Following trustee remarks, the board went into executive session prior to adjournment.

Round Lake’s government meetings take place at 442 N. Cedar Lake Road.
