Lake County Farmland Committee discusses 2017 state certification

The Lake County Farmland Assessment Committee to discuss the 2017 State of Illinois certification and PI values at a recent meeting.

The five-member committee regularly reviews farm data from the Department of Revenue and the Farmland Assessment Technical Advisory Board (FATAB), which consists of technical experts from state ag schools and universities, as well as federal agricultural agencies, to provide guidance and technical data to make assessments.

The committee meets at the Antioch Township Office Building, 1625 Deep Lake Road in Lake Villa.
