Lake County Board considers pact with state to continue child-services program

During a meeting this week, the Lake County Board considered an intergovernmental agreement (IGA) between the Illinois Department of Healthcare and Family Services (IDHFS) and the Lake County State’s Attorney to continue the Child Support Enforcement Program.

The board also was expected to consider a proposal to amend an IGA between the Federal Bureau of Prisons and the Lake County Work Release Center.

The board also was expected to consider a measure to approve a memorandum of understanding between the county and the Lake County Coalition for the Homeless to provide services under the county’s Continuum of Care as a collaborative applicant.
