Lake Bluff Zoning Board to consider amending Comprehensive Plan

The Lake Bluff Joint Plan Commission & Zoning Board of Appeals will hold a public hearing during its meeting at 7 p.m. today at Village Hall to discuss a proposal to amend the village's Comprehensive Plan, specifically concerning downtown land use and Central Business District planning.

The joint Plan Commission and Zoning Board of Appeals (PCZBA) is an advisory body to the Village Board created in 2012. The PCZBA is the result of the consolidation of two separate boards -- the former Plan Commission and former Zoning Board of Appeals  -- as a means to: (i) streamline development processes; (ii) gain greater organizational efficiencies; and (iii) maintain the village's ability to review and consider important development projects.

3. Non-Agenda Items and Visitors (Public Comment Time)

The Joint Plan Commission & Zoning Board of Appeals Chair and Board Members allocate fifteen (15) minutes during

this item for those individuals who would like the opportunity to address the Board on any matter not listed on the

agenda. Each person addressing the Joint Plan Commission & Zoning Board of Appeals is asked to limit their comments

to a maximum of three (3) minutes.

4. A Public Hearing to Consider Amending the Village of Lake Bluff Comprehensive

Plan Concerning: (i) the Downtown Land Use Plan (dated November 17, 1998); and

ii) Planning Principles for Central Business District Block Two (bounded by E.

Scranton Ave., Walnut Ave., E. North Ave. and Oak Ave.) and Central Business

District Block Three (bounded by E. Scranton Ave., Oak Ave., E. North Ave. and

Evanston Ave.)

5. A Discussion Concerning Zoning Regulations and Design Guidelines for Central

Business District Block Two and Block Three

6. Commissioner’s Report
