Gurnee Planning Board to consider request for subdivision-frontage exemption

The Gurnee Planning and Zoning Board will meet at 7:30 p.m. today at Gurnee Village Hall, 325 N. O’Plaine Road, to consider a request to allow the subdivision of lots that do not have frontage on a public street or right-of-way.

5. Public Hearing: Village of Gurnee Text Amendment to the Zoning Ordinance

a. Article 10.2.9 - Accessory Structure and Uses – Fences (Amendment to allow 6-foot tall fences in the corner side yards from the rear elevation of the home to the back lot line, except that on reverse corner lots these fences would be required to be setback 2/3 of the front yard setback of the adjoining lot); and

b. Article 5.3.2 - C-6 District Specific Development Standards (Amendment to allow the subdivision of lots that do not have frontage on a public street or ROW as long as the lot has access through a cross access easemment to a public street or ROW).
