The Government Finance Officers Association of the United States and Canada recently honored the Mundelein Park & Recreation District (MPRD) with a Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting.
This is the fifth consecutive year MPRD has received the coveted award. The certificate is the most prestigious award when it comes to recognition for governmental accounting and financial reporting. The award aims to recognize government entities for their outstanding comprehensive annual financial report (CAFR).
“This ranking underscores our commitment to the highest standards throughout the Park District,” Margaret Resnick, executive director of the Mundelein Park & Recreation District, said. “Our goal is to provide outstanding programs and services to the community, and fiscal responsibility plays a big part.”
