The New Year's Eve Family Party will be held 4-6:30 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 31, at the Sullivan Community Center in Vernon Hills, according to the Vernon Hills Park District's website.
The evening's activities include an open gym for children to play in and a DJ playing music. Pizza will be available, as will an ice-cream sundae bar. The event will have its own New Year's countdown at 6 p.m. to round out the activities.
Tickets are $9 each, with children ages 2 and younger admitted free. To purchase tickets, go to www.vhparkdistrict.org or purchase them in person at the Sullivan Center, 635 N. Aspen Drive, or the Lakeview Fitness Center, 700 Lakeview Parkway, in Vernon Hills.
